The children have settled in so well. My first super proud teacher moment of this academic year was seeing all 29of the children exploring the classroom and not a tear in sight.
It's been a whirlwind first few weeks. The children have had a lot of adjusting to do. New friends to meet, new rules to follow, new teachers, new routines.... the list is long and a lot to take in. These things take time. Some children adjust quicker than others. We are all in this together and I'm here to guide them through it.
The children are a lot more settled now and have ALL adapted to our many routines. They are now settled in their phonics group and move to their groups with ease every Tuesday-Friday from 9.10-9.40.
We had a great afternoon of fun on the last day before we broke up. A Halloween themed party. A well earned reward for all our hard work and perseverance.

So this half term we are going to go all out to help them understand the different cultures, countries and traditions around the world. We will also do this through a focus on the different celebrations we have in the UK and across the world.
This lovely book will be our guide around the world.
