Townville Infants' School

At Townville Infants' School we welcome any parent/volunteer who wishes to help out in school.  Parents can approach their child's teacher at any time to offer voluntary assistance.

Teachers may ask parents/volunteers to help with a number of things, for example:

  • To hear children read
  • To practise spelling
  • To mount children's work
  • To go on school outings or trips

When parents/volunteers have expressed a wish to help out on a regular basis, they will need to have a Disclosure and Barring Scheme check (DBS).  This is necessary for anybody working with young children.

Parents/volunteers are advised not to relate any information about a child or school business directly to anyone outside school as this is considered a breach of confidentiality.
